New Center for Health Sciences NEW BRANDING SCULPTURE

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit bids from qualified metal fabricators / welders to construct and install a New V.U. Branding Sculpture within Isaac K. Beckes Park, on the campus of Vincennes University, Vincennes, IN.

The construction of new walks, masonry structures, green spaces, landscape beds, lawn irrigation, etc. within Isaac K. Beckes Park has been awarded to separate Contractors. The awarded Sculpture Contractor will be expected to coordinate their work with the General Contractor’s work, and attend bi-weekly progress meetings in order to coordinate said work as needed.

A. Scope of Work

The awarded Sculpture Contractor will provide all design, labor, tools, equipment, and materials necessary to

fabricate and install the New V.U. Branding Sculpture.

General Requirements:

1. The New Sculpture internal structural framing shown on the attached drawings are for conceptual

   purposes only. The sculpture contractor / fabricator shall provide adequate structural armatures to

   withstand all applicable wind, seismic, and dead loads per Indiana Building Code.

2. All exposed welded joints shall be fully welded. All exposed welds shall meet NOMMA Type/Finish 1.

   Welds shall be finished to a seamless, polished appearance, with no visible evidence of a welded joint.

3. All exposed metal surfaces shall have a smooth unblemished brushed or satin finish. Roughness average

   (Ra) of 0.5 μ m ± 0.1 μ m.

4. The awarded Sculpture Contractor shall provide product data, material samples, and shop drawings for

   the new sculpture. Shop drawings shall detail how the sculpture will be constructed and installed.

5. The awarded Sculpture Contractor shall field verify all conditions prior to fabricating, delivering, and

   installing the New Sculpture.

6. The final sculpture shall be installed level and plumb.

B. Submission Requirements

Proposals must include the following information to be considered for evaluation:

1. A completed Bid Form (included with these RFP documents).

2. A completed MBE-WBE-VBE Participation Report (included with these RFP documents).

3. Company Profile: Brief history, years in business, and any certification or licensing information.

4. Descriptive Proposal: A separate detailed description of the scope and limitations of the work. Include itemized pricing broken down by materials and labor.

5. Insurance: Proof of commercial general liability insurance, auto liability, and workers' compensation.
